MEET TIMOTHY MURPHY
A Southern Californian Visual Artist, Model and most importantly a consistent Volunteer in the local/global communities. His career began in 2008 when he signed a modeling contract with Ford Models Incorporated, where he worked with highly influential brands such as Nike, Perry Ellis, and Puma. His extensive modeling career gave him insight into the world of photography so it’s no surprise that when he finally picked up a camera he took to it immediately. His understanding of lighting, framing and composition alongside his ability to understand a model’s perspective has led him to a personal photography style that captivates the emotions of both humans and nature.
Growing up in Lake Elsinore, CA, Tim had access to and excelled in many action sports–Surf, Skate, Snow–you name it, he did it. His exceptional athleticism has allowed him to participate and coach many sports and fitness based events. An avid outdoorsman and active community member, it was important for Tim to build a professional life that combine some of his greatest passions– wanderlusting and bring humanity closer together through giving back. This has most recently led him to become a Volunteer Surf Therapist, working with special needs children, veterans, and other at risk communities. He has become a well known member of the Adaptive Surf Community, and has dedicated much of his career to advocating on behalf of this very important cause.
For Tim, success has never been about the money. His modest lifestyle is a testament to what matters most to him–living simply in order to give back to, and dedicate his life to the people and communities that need it most. His motivation to build a strong personal brand comes from his goal of using his platforms to give back and bring attention to these communities. By collaborating and partnering with like minded brands and individuals Tim hopes to use his highly engaged platform to bring awareness to worthy causes such as Surf Therapy, and build a sense of community for those looking for inspiration and motivation, while also building brand recognition and affiliation for some of the most forward thinking brands on the planet.
